03/04/2021 : The Monegasque rower will attempt to secure his ticket for the Tokyo Olympics (single scull) at the European Olympic qualification regatta (5-7 April).
“I feel in quite good shape. I feel as though I have gained momentum since the French national tests where I got into the finals. That’s rather a good sign.” Quentin Antognelli (26) admits: without being overly optimistic, the Monegasque rower is calm: “Technically, I feel more at ease. That bodes quite well.”
The table tennis player is the first Monegasque athlete to seal her ticket for the upcoming Olympic Games. A cutting performance which will be remembered.
It was her dream. Her dream came true. At 33, standing 1m55, Xiaoxin Yang has just realised the ultimate dream of any athlete: to qualify for the Olympic Games. An outstanding achievement for the “red and white” player (who will therefore be competing in Tokyo from 23rd July to 8th August) and for Monegasque sport.

.After almost a year with no official competitions, in March 2020 she managed to earn herself a place in the semi-finals at the Oman Open in United Arab Emirates, Xiaoxin Yang has a major card to play at the end of this week (14-17 March) in the world Olympic qualifying tournament in Doha, with five spaces being awarded for Tokyo. “I feel confident.” the Principality’s representative said. “A competition of course remains a competition, but I know I’ve got a chance.
